I have been working with athletes of all levels since 2018. I have worked with and offered students Individual workouts, Group Workouts, AAU, Basketball Clinics and Basketball Camps . I strive to build skills, confidence, and mental toughness. Whether you want to improve your shooting, footwork, or overall basketball IQ. I’m here to get you to the next level and stay on top of your game.

LET'S WORK TOGETHER
Whether your goal is to make your school team, earn more playing time, prepare for AAU competition, or play basketball at the collegiate level, Olek Czyz Basketball provides professional basketball training for athletes throughout Reno, Sparks, Carson City, and Northern Nevada.

Every workout is designed to improve ball handling, shooting mechanics, footwork, decision-making, finishing around the basket, defensive skills, basketball IQ, speed, agility, strength, and overall confidence on the court. Players receive personalized instruction based on their current skill level and long-term goals.

Unlike large group camps where individual attention is limited, our private basketball training focuses on teaching the details that separate good players from great players. Every drill has a purpose and every session is structured to maximize improvement.

With experience competing at Duke University, the University of Nevada, professionally throughout Europe, the NBA G League, and representing the Polish National Team, Coach Olek brings years of high-level playing experience directly to every athlete.
Whether you're just beginning your basketball journey or preparing for varsity, college recruiting, or elite competition, our mission is to help every player build confidence, develop elite fundamentals, and learn how to train like a professional.

What age should my child start basketball training?

The best time to begin basketball training is before athletes become highly competitive. Developing proper fundamentals early helps players build good habits, confidence, and strong basketball skills that will benefit them throughout their playing career. We work with boys and girls ages 7–18 throughout Reno, Sparks, and Northern Nevada. Younger athletes focus on building strong fundamentals, coordination, confidence, and a love for the game, while older players receive advanced skill development tailored to their goals. Whether your child is just beginning or preparing for middle school, high school, AAU, or college basketball, every training session is customized to their age and ability.

How often should basketball players train?

Consistency is one of the biggest factors in player development. Most athletes see the best results by training 1–3 times per week, depending on their goals, current season, and schedule. Players looking to improve quickly often combine private basketball training with individual practice at home. Each session is designed to build on previous workouts, helping athletes develop better shooting, ball handling, footwork, basketball IQ, and confidence over time.

Where are training sessions located?

Basketball training sessions are held throughout North and South Reno, Nevada, with locations selected based on gym availability and the needs of each athlete or group. Once a session is scheduled, players receive all location details in advance.
How long are workouts?

Most private basketball training sessions last approximately 60-75 minutes, providing enough time to focus on skill development, game-specific drills, conditioning, and individual instruction. Group sessions and basketball camps may vary in length depending on the program. Every workout is designed to maximize repetitions, improve technique, and help athletes get the most out of every minute on the court.
What should players bring?

Players should arrive ready to work and bring:
-
A basketball
-
Basketball shoes
-
Athletic clothing
-
A water bottle
-
A positive attitude and willingness to improve
Every session emphasizes effort, discipline, attention to detail, and consistent improvement. Our goal is to create an environment where athletes are challenged, encouraged, and motivated to become the best players they can be.
Do you train beginners?

Absolutely. We welcome athletes of all skill levels, from complete beginners to experienced High School Varsity, College or Professional Athletes. Every basketball training program is personalized to the athlete's current ability, allowing beginners to learn proper fundamentals while more advanced players refine the skills needed to compete at the next level. Whether your goal is making your first team, earning more playing time, or preparing for college basketball, training is customized to help you succeed.
