ABOUT ME
I'm excited to tell you more about how my passion for basketball has developed over the past 20 years. I can’t imagine living a day without it.
Growing up in Poland - ever since I was little - I would dream of coming to the United States and playing in the NBA. I was fortunate to move to Reno, NV with my family when I turned 14 years old.
I was a great basketball player coming out of Poland. However, when I arrived in the USA, I quickly realized that the level of basketball players at my age was higher and more competitive than what I was used to. A lot of my peers were stronger, more skilled and had a better understanding of the game.
Once I understood that I needed to work harder to catch up, I spent countless hours in the gym, working on my craft, either alone or alongside great coaches.
By being surrounded with the right people and through hard work I had a successful basketball career, spanning from High School through College, and all the way through Professional Basketball at the highest levels.
Not long ago, I faced hardships with injuries that caused me to miss time from professional play. I was looking for ways to fill my time with rewarding and productive activities. I have turned to Skills Development Training in 2018 and started working with the youth in Reno and Carson City in Nevada. Ever since I started coaching, I learned that I'm just as passionate about skills development as I am about playing basketball.
In 2018, I started my own basketball training business, "Still Ballin Co.", which focuses on getting young, talented players to reach their full potential through hard work. Looking back at my career, I now see and clearly understand how much of an advantage I have gained by working with knowledgeable coaches, especially when doing private workouts in High School and beyond. I also became aware of how much more there is to learn and how much better of a player I can become by continuing to work over the span of my career.
Today I'm dedicated to helping youngsters pursue their goals, fulfill their dreams and work hard to achieve them. My mission is to inspire the next generation of kids in the Reno, NV area and pass on the knowledge I have gained over the past 20 years.

NBA D-League 2013 - 2014
After being released by Milwaukee Bucks, Olek signed with NBA D-League affiliate team the Fort Wayne Mad Ants.
Half way through the season the Mad Ants negotiated a trade with the Canton Charge.
In the NBA D-League averaged 12 pts, 7 rebs in 24 min of play.
Best game recorded in the D-League 28 pts and 19 reb.
Summer 2014
Attended Elite G-League Mini Camp
Participated in Miami Heat individual workouts during NBA Finals.
Went off to play in the Las Vegas NBA Summer League for NBA D-League Select team.
Serious Hamstring injury excluded Olek from participating in the NBA Summer League games
Also missed Polish National Team window.

Led Reno High to a 77-17 record, winning Two State Championships (2006, 2008), 26-6 record in 2008.
